If you plan to change your car, the first step is to restore your vehicle to standard by loading the original file stored in the handset. By doing this it will allow you to erase the device for it to be used on another vehicle should your new car be supported.
Please note that if you do not reset your vehicle to standard you will need to return the handset back for a manufacturer reset which will incur a reset/shipping fee.
